So I spent last week at the beach. It's my healing space. All the tension leaves my body when I turn off and just BE with the elements of nature. I tune into the ocean and allow the sound of the waves to carry away the stress I brought with me.
Sounds simple, to relax. To turn off. It's not...although easier on vacation! Some people can’t even lay on my healing table for 1 hour! Seriously, they tell me they need to be on, moving. But the thing is you need to Relax to release old energy and heal.
And you don't have to go to the beach. But what does it take for you to turn off? A run, yoga, kickboxing, gardening? How will you release the stress in your body, because that’s what's causing chronic pain or anxiety. The stress is held in your cells and causes illness.
Relaxing isn’t just for vacation, it’s a necessity.
To turn off and let go. This is when you heal. This is when you can see what you’ve been holding onto that no longer serves you- faulty thoughts, repressed emotions- whatever it is it will come up when it has space to release.
You must give yourself the space to let go of old energy, of the past in order to move forward and create new experiences!
When you relax and let go you’ll be surprised how much lighter you'll feel. You don’t have to carry old energy, it weighs you down. It keeps you from total health in your body, from clarity and focus in your mind, from peace in your heart.
Take a deep breath and Repeat after me- I now let go. I feel divine presence within me and I surrender to the Divine all that I’m carrying that’s no longer good for me. As I let go, I open to receive the divine light of healing and I feel it flow through my body now. Breathe in that healing light and exhale everything else.
