the Peaceful Present
April feels like a time of new beginnings with all the flowers and trees blossoming in beautiful colors! And who doesn't need a New beginning? It’s been challenging to Be, or feel peaceful with the state of the world- so much dissension and suffering. If we can’t be at peace with each other how can we expect a peaceful world? We All contribute to the state of the world through consciousness- our thoughts and actions.
As someone sensitive to energy, sometimes I’m overcome with the energy of sadness, and anger. And it’s not all my emotions, but I’m feeling the energy of the world. That's why it’s so important to take care of You, of your energy. Because when your energy is strong you can discern your energy from another’s, from the world.
To keep my energy strong, it’s a daily practice of meditation and prayer, yoga and exercise, and gratitude. This keeps my body, mind and Spirit in harmony.
In meditation, I find peace within. I know, Peace begins with me. This peace within radiates out in the world. From this peaceful space, I'll ask Spirit for guidance and listen.
Gratitude for the simple things creates a feeling of Joy for what I have. With gratitude and joy I feel supported and strong in my world so I’m able to hear bad news, feel it and then let it go without it draining me.
It's a practice of being conscious of not taking on the world, but observing and letting it go. Having faith it’s working out, even when you have no idea how. Focusing on that faith instead of the fear for what may happen.
Peace with the presence (Spirit), in the present moment, is key.
So take a moment and Breathe peace in your heart, breathe joy in your soul, and feel the ever-Loving presence of Spirit guiding you- Everyday!
