FALL LEAF AND LANDSCAPE WASTE REMOVAL
Fall Leaf and Landscape Waste Removal runs from October 16 to December 15, each Carmel Utilities/Republic Services customer home is allowed up to 20 bags/bundles (four feet or shorter bundles) of landscape waste pick up per week, free of charge.
Do not rake or blow leaves into the street as they present a safety hazard and a flooding concern when leaves are washed into storm drains. | |

TRICK OR TREAT
The City of Carmel has announced that the official hours of trick or treating in the City will be Tuesday, October 31 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Homes welcoming trick or treaters should turn on their porch lights. If you do not wish to receive trick or treaters or have run out of candy, please turn off your porch lights. While there are many neighborhoods and other organizations that hold their own Halloween events and celebrations, we encourage those who want to trick or treat door-to-door to use the City’s official hours to do so.
Parents and guardians should be aware of the current COVID-19 recommendations put forth by the CDC and the Indiana State Department of Health.
The City would also like to remind its citizens of a few guidelines and proper safety procedures to follow for a safer celebration. While preparing for Halloween festivities, there are several important safety tips to keep in mind. - Motorists should drive with extra caution and keep an eye out for “little goblins” roaming the neighborhood.
- Adults should always accompany their children and carry a flashlight at night, staying within their own neighborhood and known homes.
- Watch for traffic before crossing any street.
- Avoid costumes that are long, which could cause tripping or costumes that have hard plastic or wood props like swords that could be a hazard.
- Face paint is often a safer alternative to masks that may obstruct vision.
- It is also important to inspect candy before allowing children to have it; dispose of any candy that is unwrapped.

LAKE AND WATERCRAFT UPDATE With the colder weather and increased rain, the threat of more hazardous algae blooms has been mitigated. The yellow buoys have been removed by Ponds RX who did a fantastic job protecting our lake.
It will soon be time to inspect your watercraft for proper storage and security. There have been boats removed at both storage areas, so there should be plenty of room to tie down for the winter. Also, make sure your watercraft is not collecting water.
REMINDER: LAKE WOODLAND IS A “SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK” LAKE. THE WATER QUALITY IS NOT ROUTINELY TESTED FOR BACTERIAL OR ENVIRONMENTAL CONTENT, ETC.
BUOY MARKERS WILL BE PLACED OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LAKE WHEN IT IS NOT SAFE TO SWIM IN THE LAKE, DRINK LAKE WATER, FISH, OR WATER YOUR LAWNS. THIS WILL NORMALLY FOLLOW A LAKE TREATMENT. PLEASE CHECK OUR WEBSITE OR CONTACT KIRKPATRICK MANAGEMENT COMPANY FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION.

ARCHITECTURAL CHANGES
Recognizing that we're all busy, the Woodland Springs Board of Directors has tried to make the Architectural Change Request Process as efficient as possible.
To make it easier, we have provided guidance and an online request form.
The intention of this review/approval is not to discourage or prevent residents from making improvements. On the contrary, we love improvements.
As an HOA, our interest is to protect and increase property values. Part of the Board of Directors' fiduciary responsibility is to ensure the guidelines outlined within the Covenants of 2011 are followed.
