Homeowners are asked to join meetings at 6:55 PM so that the meeting can begin promptly at 7:00 P.M.

POOL
This past month we have experienced some repair issues with the pool:
- The main electrical panel had work performed with the buss bar and circuit breaker replacement.
- Also, we have been experiencing heater problems, but the problem was diagnosed, parts are ordered, and repairs should be happening soon.
We hope you are enjoying the pool season!
POOL RULE CHANGES
We have received comments about the elimination of "Adult Swim".
"Adult Swim is now considered age discrimination and a violation of the Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988."
We received the following information from AMI (our pool management company):
"We had to change the Adult Swim to a Safety Break based on the Fair Housing Act and how it relates to age discrimination. There are some cases that have been brought to court and ruled against. I would encourage the community to talk to their attorney and get more information about it."

Congratulations Woodland Springs on a GREAT season!
Season Highlights:
- Undefeated season! Third year in a row!
- Won invitationals against 7 other teams.
- 24 Woodland Springs swimmers scored in the top 10 for their age group at the league wide meet.
- Largest team in our league because we have awesome coaches and the kids have so much fun!

This was the 49th year the Page family has shared their fireworks display with Woodland Springs and the surrounding neighborhoods.

LAKE WOODLAND
Lake update
The heat and drought conditions are causing the beginning of an algae bloom that limits safe use of the lake and ingestion of the water by humans and animals. The warning buoys are out. Treatments are being performed by Aquatic Control.
Watercraft update
Please check your boats for current registration with Woodland Springs. There are a number of vessels without registration stickers, either because of delinquent registrants or trespassers using our lake.
You can easily register them at the Woodland Springs web site for free. And registration will help us notify you if your boat is purloined or abused.
Also, there continue to be a number of boats and canoes that are unsecured or stored wrong side up, collecting water and mosquitoes. Please check your craft that it is maintained correctly and secured.
YELLOW BUOY MARKERS WILL BE PLACED OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LAKE WHEN IT IS NOT SAFE TO SWIM IN THE LAKE, DRINK LAKE WATER, FISH, OR WATER YOUR LAWNS. THIS WILL NORMALLY FOLLOW A LAKE TREATMENT. PLEASE CHECK THIS WEBSITE OR CONTACT KIRKPATRICK MANAGEMENT COMPANY FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION . REMINDER: LAKE WOODLAND IS A “SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK” LAKE. THE WATER QUALITY IS NOT ROUTINELY TESTED FOR BACTERIAL OR ENVIRONMENTAL CONTENT, ETC.

ARCHITECTURAL CHANGES
Recognizing that we're all busy, the Woodland Springs Board of Directors has tried to make the Architectural Change Request Process as efficient as possible.
To make it easier, we have provided guidance and an online request form.
The intention of this review/approval is not to discourage or prevent residents from making improvements. On the contrary, we love improvements.
As an HOA, our interest is to protect and increase property values. Part of the Board of Directors' fiduciary responsibility is to ensure the guidelines outlined within the Covenants of 2011 are followed.

Since the beginning of 2023, there has been repeated vandalism discovered around the pool area. The Board is looking into installing video cameras to monitor the area.
Please let us know if you see any suspicious activity anywhere in the neighborhood.
