POOL RULE CHANGES
We have received comments about the elimination of "Adult Swim". "Adult Swim is now considered age discrimination and a violation of the Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988."
We received the following information from AMI (our pool management company): "We had to change the Adult Swim to a Safety Break based on the Fair Housing Act and how it relates to age discrimination. There are some cases that have been brought to court and ruled against. I would encourage the community to talk to their attorney and get more information about it."
See something that needs attention, please share your comments:

FIREWORKS JULY 3
A NOTE FROM THE PAGE FAMILY
Hello, Neighbors! It is that time of the year again! We know how many of you plan your parties around our annual Fireworks Show, so, here are the details for this year. - We are planning to shoot our Fireworks on Monday, July 3rd.
- Sunset is predicted for 9:17 pm.
- We usually start shooting between 9:30pm-9:45pm, once it gets dark enough.
- The hill west of the Woodland Springs Clubhouse is a common gathering place to watch our fireworks if you want a sense of community and togetherness.
Due to inflation and supply chain issues, our Show will look a little shorter this year. But we are striving to make it a captivating Show for you, nonetheless.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: the Woodland Springs (North) big island will be off limits from Friday, June 30th until Wednesday, July 5th. It simply isn’t going to be safe during that time and we want everyone to enjoy the weekend while staying free from danger.
Thank you, everyone, for your help with this. And thank you for being great neighbors and friends.
*Please remember, if you will be on the lake during the Show, we implore you to stay south of our property starting at 9pm (address below).
Most of you know how large our Fireworks are and we have had to delay our Show for the last several years due to boats, canoes, swimmers, etc., that were too close to our firing area. We simply want everyone to be out of harm's way. Safety first. We are delighted to bring you another fun evening and hope you are excited, too! Let's hope for clear skies!
God Bless America!!!!

LAKE WOODLAND
A note from Ponds Rx Regarding Algae Growth:
Good morning Ponds Rx family! A quick note on what we are experiencing with the weather and the ponds/lakes right now. As you know, we are encountering an extreme issue with the weather. With temperatures in the 90s, no rain, longer days of sunlight and little wind to speak of, we see algae growth almost everywhere. The products approved for water usage on algae can only be active in the water for a very brief period of time per the EPA. All the above means long days for us! There doesn't look like a break from this in the 14-day forecast. Please know we are aware of the conditions and are working as quickly and safely as we can. We appreciate you and your patience as we work through this drastic weather situation.
Thanks so much! Your Ponds Rx Team.
REMINDER: LAKE WOODLAND IS A SWIM/PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK LAKE. THE WATER QUALITY IS NOT ROUTINELY TESTED FOR BACTERIAL OR ENVIRONMENTAL CONTENT, ETC.
YELLOW BUOY MARKERS WILL BE PLACED OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LAKE WHEN IT IS NOT SAFE TO SWIM IN THE LAKE, DRINK LAKE WATER, FISH, OR WATER YOUR LAWNS. THIS WILL NORMALLY FOLLOW A LAKE TREATMENT. PLEASE CHECK THIS WEBSITE OR CONTACT KIRKPATRICK MANAGEMENT COMPANY FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION . REMINDER: LAKE WOODLAND IS A “SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK” LAKE. THE WATER QUALITY IS NOT ROUTINELY TESTED FOR BACTERIAL OR ENVIRONMENTAL CONTENT, ETC.

ARCHITECTURAL CHANGES
Recognizing that we're all busy, the Woodland Springs Board of Directors has tried to make the Architectural Change Request Process as efficient as possible.
To make it easier, we have provided guidance and an online request form.
The intention of this review/approval is not to discourage or prevent residents from making improvements. On the contrary, we love improvements.
As an HOA, our interest is to protect and increase property values. Part of the Board of Directors' fiduciary responsibility is to ensure the guidelines outlined within the Covenants of 2011 are followed.

Since the beginning of 2023, there has been repeated vandalism discovered around the pool area. The Board is looking into installing video cameras to monitor the area.
Please let us know if you see any suspicious activity anywhere in the neighborhood.
Call 911 in an emergency. You can also email the Board or visit our website

DANGERS OF GRASS CLIPPINGS
Many experts consider freshly cut grass clippings as hazardous as sand, gravel, or similar substances. Grass clippings act almost like sheets of ice when strewn or blown onto a paved road. Water constitutes up to 80% of grass, causing it to become extremely slippery under pressure.
When you are mowing, make sure to blow your grass clippings towards your house and away from the road. Motorcyclists and bicyclists lives may depend on it.
The best time to mow your lawn is just after the dew or daily watering has dried off, but before it really gets hot. Be considerate of your neighbors, try not to mow before the typical breakfast time and do your best to stop mowing before the typical dinner time.
