Hey everyone! We wanted to remind you all of our next Military Veterans of Cuenca meeting – it’s Monday, September 2nd at 1 pm at Sabatino’s. If you want to eat lunch show up at noon and please, if you have not done so already, click here to place your lunch order. It helps you get served faster and ordering your lunch online really helps the restaurant staff to serve us more efficiently.
We have several interesting guest speakers lined up and should be interesting and informative.
Last month, a guest of a veteran who attended our meeting was impressed with our charitable activities and he donated enough money to buy 300 pairs of scissors and over 100 plastic folders. That is in addition to the 524 notebooks that the group was able to donate to the Maria Luisa Foundation.
If you have not signed up to help us deliver the notebooks and gifts to the children try to block Saturday, August 31st 2024 at 3 pm. Click here to attend the party and join the Maria Luisa Foundation staff as they distribute to 300 kids the backpacks filled with school supplies.
We also received an invitation to attend the Marine Corps Ball in Guayaquil on November 8th. We will discuss it more in detail at the meeting. We will also discuss what to do for Veterans Day.
