66th Annual Tubac Festival of the Arts

Feb 5-9

The Tucson Homing Project is excited to be displaying our micro-shelter over the weekend of February 8-9 at the Tubac Festival of the Arts, Saturday, February 8 from 10-5, and Sunday, February 9 from 10-5.

This festival is one of the nation’s premier art events and is attended by thousands, from across America, here in Southern Arizona, where it is a glorious time of year.  Over 200 artists and craftsmen showcase their work alongside live entertainment and diverse eateries.

We at The Homing Project are continuing our efforts to bring new hope for those unhoused in the Tucson area.  We are hopeful that our presence at the festival will reach many new individuals that will help to bring THP’s dream to fruition.  We are continuing to expose as many as possible to our project; we absolutely understand that without all your help we will be unable to meet the needs of the unhoused in the Tucson region.  We are extremely grateful to all that have aided us in this long process, and we are continuing to strive to offer those less fortunate an opportunity to move forward in these difficult times.

All of us on The Homing Project Board of Directors and our Volunteers are grateful for your generous support.  Thank You.

Fernando Cardenas, Board Member

Tucson Festival of Books, March 15 and 16, 2025, on the University of Arizona Campus

The Homing Project is sponsoring Kevin Adler, co-author of When We Walk By: Forgotten Humanity, Broken Systems, and the  Role We Can Each Play in Ending Homelessness in America.  The author will be at our booth autographing his book, a thorough analysis of America’s housing crisis and a research-based, solutions-focused guide to ending it.  We will have his book for sale at the booth.  We plan to host an additional event in April for Kevin to speak. Supporting this important education event for the public costs money.  You can support this event by contributing.

Financial support needed for Kevin Adler's visit:

  • $2,600 to pay for travel and housing expenses for Kevin and his wife to be at Tucson Festival of Books
  • $1,500 to pay for the April speaking event space.  Exact date TBD
  • $1,000 to pay for event advertising
