Many
of the ordering platforms that we use such as Overdrive Marketplace, Follett
Titlewave, and Perma-Bound often have review sources such as School Library Journal
(SLJ), Horn Book, ALA Booklist, and Publisher’s Weekly right in the profile of
a book if the reviews are available. These are helpful in the selection process and if there are content
concerns. School-focused review sources
such as SLJ often have an age recommendation in the review.

School Library System has a template for creating a librarian presentation for
classroom teachers about the online resources available through each school
library. Please contact mgartland@boces.com if you would like to schedule a time to
customize this presentation for your district.

certainly allowed past these dates as long as the borrowing and lending
libraries are in agreement.

Bartelotte, who has been at the School Library System for over 20 years, will
